31 people hospitalized in Brazil for overdose of yellow fever vaccine
BRASILIA, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's Health Ministry announced on Friday that 31 people in the country have been hospitalized for overdoses of yellow fever vaccine.
Two of the affected, from Brasilia, took the vaccination twice in an interval of 10 days and are in a critical condition, the ministry said.
Since the beginning of this year, 29 suspected cases of yellow fever have been reported in Brazil, of which seven were ruled out and 10 confirmed.
According to the health ministry, only those who are going to high-risk areas require to be vaccinated.
