203 dead in TN rains since October

Chennai, Dec 31 (PTI) As many as 203 people have died in rain-related incidents across Tamil Nadu since the onset of north-east monsoons in October, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said here today.
"Thanjavur, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam and Tirunelveli among others have been severely affected and 203 people have been killed in various rain-related incidents," he said after a meeting to review the situation in ten worst rain-hit districts.
Crops and infrastructure have also been severely damaged, he said.
