Cluster No-2 BPHC- Dhakuakhana Affected Village- Bamchapori Under Dhakuakhana BPHC 2 0 12/01/2012 2012-01-17 13:54:57 1031 Cluster 1- On 29th Dec2011, One case of Acute Flaccid Paralysis came under notice by the SDM&HO ic Dhakuakhana BPHC. He presumpted the case as Left Facial paralysis . He prescribed the necessary medicines and the patient was not admitted. Cluster 2- Another case of Right Facial Paralysis came under under notice by Dr. P.K.Deori, M&HO-1 ,North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital on 212012. Dr. P.K.Deori informed to the Dhakuakhana IC and Surveillance Medical Officer, NPSP, Tezpur Unit. The Age group of affected patients are: 1. 0 - 10 (yrs): 2 nos. 2. 11 - 20 (yrs): 0 no. 3. 21 - 30 (yrs): 0 no. 4. 31 - 40 (yrs): 0 no. 5. 41 - 50 (yrs): 0 no. 2(Two) nos. of stool samples are collected and sent to NPSP Unit, Tezpur on 512012 and 912012. Results awaited. 1. The SDM&HO ic Dhakuakhana BPHC instructed to the Health Workers to conduct house hold survey for further cases and make awareness on Polio vaccination. 2. The District Surveillance Officer, IDSP, Lakhimpur requested to the District Immunization Officer,Lakhimpur to take necessary action. 3. DSU,Lakhimpur is in constant touch with the DIO,Lakhimpur and Dhakuakhana BPHC ic. Investigation Open No new cases are found in the villages.

ALCOHOL POISONING BPHC: GHILAMORA AFFECTED VILLAGE: UJANI PHUKAN GAON UNDER GHILAMORA BPHC. 24 cases 5 fatalities 15/01/2012 2012-01-19 11:52:20 350 ON 1412012 , ON THE OCCASSION OF BIHU FESTIVAL, PEOPLE OF ONE VILLAGE TOOK LOCAL COUNTRY LIQUOR(SULAI). After consuming liquor they immediately started vomiting, giddiness, weakness, pain in the ear or disturbance in the vision. Total Nos. of Patients 24 nos. and out of these 5(Five) patients are reported death till now and rest of the cases are admitted in North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital. The age group of affected Patients are: 1. 0-10 years 0 no. 2. 11-20 years 0 no. 3. 21-30 years 10 nos. 4. 31-40 years 10 nos. 5. 41 years above 4 nos. 1. 1 (one) no. of blood and urine samples are collected by Ghilamora BPHC and Results awaited. 1. The District Surveillance Officer, IDSP on 1612012 visited the affected villages and conducted one meeting with the community people in the presence of the Panchayat Pesident, Deolia Gaon Panchayat under Ghilamora Development Block and also took the history of the patients and instructed the the SDM&HO Ic Ghilamora BPHC to make house hold survey for further cases and make awareness camp immediately in affected villages. 2. One Medical Team with 2(Two) doctors and paramedical staff is deployed by the Joint Director of Health Services(L) on 1712012. Investigation Open No new cases are found in the villages.
