20 deaths due to influenza in Mexico City

In Mexico City, 20 deaths from influenza have been reported from December 2018 to the present. The prevailing strain is H1N1.

This was reported by the Secretary of Health of Mexico City at a press conference.

For its part, in its most recent report, the federal Ministry of Health reported that there have been confirmed 3,729 cases of influenza in the country, with 368 deaths.

Children under nine and those over 40 are the most affected.

In most cases they received late medical attention.

The states with the highest number of reported cases are Tlaxcala, Baja California Sur, Zacatecas, Oaxaca and Chihuahua.
