Women, Ages 25 And 70, Die From H1N1

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Two more people have died in Orange County from the H1N1 swine flu, the health department said Friday.
The women, ages 70 and 25, are the third and fourth people whose deaths were related to the H1N1 virus in Orange County.
"Our hearts and prayers go out to family and friends of these women," said Dr. Kevin M. Sherin, director of the Orange County Health Department. "All of us should continue to be alert and practice extraordinary hygiene measures."
Most cases of the H1N1 flu are mild, but there are exceptions, the health department said, especially for people who have pre-existing heart conditions. Both of the recent victims had underlying medical conditions, a department spokesman said.
The 25-year-old died on Tuesday and the 70-year-old on Saturday. Both were in hospitals.
"People should continue to wash their hands frequently, stay home from work or school if they feel ill, and cover their mouths with a tissue or their sleeve if they are coughing." the department said in a news release. "These common sense precautions will greatly reduce the risk of transmission of all flu virus whether seasonal or H1N1 Swine Flu."
