2 More Local Deaths Due To H1N1 Flu

As both the federal government and the state of Florida prepare for the worst scenario of H1N1 this fall, Miami-Dade County reported two new deaths from the swine flu. The new deaths bring the total number of dead in Miami-Dade County to 5, while 625 people have been infected.

The latest deaths were of a 51-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman.

"Our hearts and prayers go out to their families and friends for their loss. We all need to follow the recommended precautions to avoid spreading infection," said Lillian Rivera of the Miami-Dade County Health Department.
