Two more dead on H1N1 infection

The Health Ministry said Wednesday that two more people died from H1N1 virus, which has infected 662 individuals in the country since the first positive case on June 24.

"On of the patient is a 55-year-old foreign man. He died on Aug 2. The other one is a two-year-old Indonesian girls, who died on Aug. 3. Both of them also suffered from a severe pneumonia upon their death," the ministry?s Director General for Disease Control and Environmental Health, Tjandra Yoga Aditama, said.

The ministry also said that 43 new individuals were positively infected by the virus on Aug. 5.

All of them are Indonesians. Three of those newly infected individuals recently returned from abroad - Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.(hdt)
