FAIRBORN ? Fairborn City School officials Tuesday, Sept. 8, confirmed two H1N1 flu cases in the district ? one at Baker Middle School and another at Fairborn Intermediate School, according to a district release.

Officials said all areas of both schools have been cleaned and treated and will continue to be cleaned and treated daily.

Both students became symptomatic over the weekend and are being successfully treated by a physician, according to the release.

Montgomery County has nine confirmed cases, said Bill Wharton, spokesman for Public Health-Dayton and Montgomery County.

The Fairborn City School district plan regarding H1N1 flu will be reviewed by the district?s Board of Education during the board?s meeting this Thursday.

The district lists for all students, staff and families the following as guidelines to stay home if you have:

? A fever of 100 in adults, or 103-105 in children.

? Chills and sweats

? Headache

? Dry Cough

? Muscle/joint pain

? Fatigue

? Diarrhea and vomiting

The district also notes the following flu prevention measures:

? Cover mouth and nose with arm when sneezing and coughing.

? Wash hands often with soap and water.

? Avoid contact with sick people.

? To avoid the spread of germs, do not touch eyes, nose or mouth.
