Woman visiting Northern Nevada dies from swine flu
Staff Report • August 7, 2009


For the first time, someone has died from swine flu in Northern Nevada, health officials said Friday.


A 51-year-old female with underlying medical conditions died Friday morning at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, according to a statement released by the Carson City Health and Human Service Department.

Authorities are not releasing the name of the victim, who was visiting the area, or any other information due to privacy concerns.
