Officials with the Pinal County Public Health have confirmed that a seven-year-old boy who died within the last week was positive for the H1N1 virus, or better known as swine fly.
Officials say the child had underlying health conditions and was being treated at a local hospital at the time of his death.
This marks the 10th statewide death related to the H1N1 virus, and the third death in Pinal County.
According to the Arizona Department of Health Services, as of June 24, the total number of confirmed cases in Arizona is 729.
