OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) ? State health officials are confirming one new death related to swine flu in Oklahoma.
The Health Department said Thursday that the death of a Garfield County man last week has been connected to the H1N1 virus. The department also says the death of a Kiowa County man several weeks ago has not been confirmed as related to the swine flu.
The number of swine flu-related deaths in the state stands at 36.
Health officials say the virus peaked in mid-October ? but add that vaccinations remain important because H1N1 and seasonal flu both still are circulating.
