    Sampling for examination of pharynx and biopsies were sent from the Hospital San Juan de Dios in Cali to the national institutes of health to establish the causes of the death of a patient who arrived from Cauca.

    The director of the hospital San Juan de Dios, Iv?n Gonz?lez, said that we want to be certain of the causes of death because the clinical picture presenting the patient shows a possible case of H1N1.

    'The patient entered Sunday sent from Caloto, ventilatory support was given, but died on Wednesday. All information and medical history was sent to Bogota to certainty. That takes a month, but settled all rigor Protocol. Already reported to the Secretary of health of Cali and del Cauca for epidemiological surveillance rigour', he explained.

    Enilce Ar?valo, Secretary (e) Cali health explained that until Wednesday afternoon not had been informed of the case.

    Duban Ely Quintero Mu?oz, Secretary of health of the Cauca, said that not yet been confirmed if this disease was the cause of the death of the boy.

    'Is a patient, who joined Caloto hospital with severe pneumonia and was sent to the San Juan de Dios in Cali where he was diagnosed by a possible H1N1', the official reported.

    Added that he was requested to the parents of the deceased young man be alert, isolate and seek immediate attention if they notice symptoms of respiratory ailments among their relatives, especially in children, because if problems of this type and not detected could cause possible infection in schools and colleges.

    Official said that even though there are prevention campaigns which makes the Cauca Government through the Ministry of health, community must be attentive and warn of suspicion of evil between people close and avoid contact.
