    Yucatan-M?rida has the highest rate of influenza A/H1N1 in the country with 69 cases reported by the National Center of epidemiological surveillance and Disease Control (Cenavece) from January 1 to 20 of this month.

    In epidemiological week (number 28) from the 7th to the 13th of this month, there were 23 cases of this pathology, which represented a sharp increase, whether for epidemiological week 29 (from the 14th to the 20th of this month) presented three cases.

    Responsible for epidemiological emergencies and disasters of the Secretariat of health of the State (SSE), Gladys Pech N??ez, pointed out that we must not generate any fear, since influenza is a common disease that occurs throughout the year, and in the case of the seasonal remains a record of 47 cases.

    Yucatan, first place nationally in cases of influenza

    M?rida (Notimex) .- The National Center for Preventive programs and Disease Control (Cenaprece) reported that in 2013 the national incidence of influenza A(H1N1) amounts to 205 cases, 77% of whom are registered in the Yucatan Peninsula. The instance dependent on the federal Secretariat of Health must be that during epidemiological week number 34 were confirmed 32 new cases of the disease, 90% in the state of Yucatan, which is why we have stepped up the measures of prevention and recommendations, such as the use of antibacterial gel. Also are Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, with four cases each; with three persons affected figure the Federal District, as well as the states of Guerrero, Queretaro, Sonora, and Tlaxcala. Other affected entities, although to a lesser proportion of cases, are Baja California, Chiapas, Veracruz, Mexico State, Michoacan, Puebla and Tabasco.

      Influenza H1N1 attacks Yucatan

      A new outrage of influenza H1N1 in Yucatan records in just one week 32 confirmed cases , 94 per cent of people infected throughout the country reports Federal Ministry of Health .

      The National Center for Preventive Programs and Disease Control ( CENAPRECE ) reports that during the year week 34 in the country there are 205 confirmed cases of influenza H1N1 distributed in 18 states in Mexico, most of the cases are presented in the Yucatan Peninsula. In just one week, there were 34 new cases , 29 are from Yucat?n, 3 in Quintana Roo, and the rest in Queretaro and Mexico City.

      The Director of Prevention and Health Protection of the Yucatan Health Department ( SSY ) Rafael Barrera Zoreda explained that after the detection of two cases in the Yucatan Psychiatric Hospital, the respective measurement to prevent an outbreak were taken.

      With the pandemic influenza H1N1 outbreak in 2009, Yucatan suffered the effects of this virus, which became typical of the region. That year in Mexico 69,596 cases were recorded causing 931 people dead.

      This year, Yucatan ranks first place nationwide with 114 cases follow by Quintana Roo with 9 confirmed cases, and with 17 cases Campeche rank third.

      Aguascalientes, Jalisco, and Nuevo Leon with four cases respectively are next in the rank, and 3 infected cases in Mexico City, Guerrero, Queretaro, Sonora and Tlaxcala are in fourth place.
