Monkeypox in Mexico: confirmed cases increase to 386
The age group of 30 to 39 years is the most affected by monkeypox in our country, according to official data.

The number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in Mexico rose to 386, the Ministry of Health reported Tuesday.
The figure represents an increase of 134 validated infections by the monkeypox virus, that is, an increase of 53 percent in one week.
The age group from 30 to 39 years continues to be the most affected by the disease in Mexico, accounting for 47.2 percent of all confirmed cases, that is, 182 of the 386.
Health reported that so far, four cases of monkeypox in minors are known: two belong to 18-year-olds, while the other two patients are 3 and 9 years old, respectively. .
On the other hand, Mexico City continues to be the entity with the most confirmed cases, since it now has 209, 68 more infections than was reported a week ago. Jalisco appears in second place with 69 confirmed cases. Both entities represent more than 70 percent of the infections reported by the Institute of Epidemiological Diagnosis and Reference (InDRE).
Monkeypox reaches more entities
According to the report from the Ministry of Health, monkeypox has already reached 24 of the 32 states, 4 more states compared to its report last week.
The agency said that currently 172 cases are under study to confirm whether it is monkeypox, while another 304 have been ruled out.
If you suspect that you have been infected with monkeypox or have been in contact with a confirmed case, the recommendation is voluntary isolation at home and notify those who have had close contact with him or her.
