    ISLAMABAD (APP) - Flu related diseases including cough and soar throat, pneumonia and diarrhea are spreading everywhere as the ongoing long dry spell persists.
    Flu related diseases have caught a large number of people particularly children with such complications were seen in high number at the government as well as private hospitals. Dr Syed Hasnain Ali Johar talking to APP said that the patients are suffering from cough, flu and throat problem, and they are visiting the hospital every day.
    He said that parents should put warm clothes to their children to keep them warm: ? I also advise the parents not to over heat their children by putting on more warm cloths as some times over heating is not good for children.?
    Dr Syed Hasnain Ali Johar said a small bowl filled with water should be put in front of gas heater otherwise it will be detrimental for health.
    He also advised the people not to come out room the heated room at once.
    Kalsoom Bibi, a mother said that her children have been affected by flu. Wajid Ali, a shopkeeper said all his family members have been affected by throat infection and influenza because of dry spell.
    Meanwhile, Capital Development Authority (CDA) will spend Rs 6.3 million on maintenance of government accommodations while, tenders have been sought from experienced firms in this regard.
    According to details CDA has approved the maintenance project for the government accommodations and work would be start on the project after two months.
    CDA sources told this news agency that several government employees have send applications for maintenance in government accommodations and the application was under consideration by CDA.
    The four houses of I-8/1, four houses of G-6/2, four houses of G-6/4 and house in G-10/3 would be renovated under the maintenance project.
    The houses would be white washed, cemented and toilets would be upgraded under the project. The residents are very happy with the project and expressed hope that CDA will carry-on the campaign and more houses would be renovated under the same project.
    "The only security we have is our ability to adapt."
