    The evolution of acute respiratory infections and influenza
    Week 41/2013 (July - 10.13.2013)
    From the Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases National Institute of Public Health and the National Influenza Centre of Cantacuzino INCDMI shows that in week 41/2013, in Romania the intensity of influenza / acute respiratory infections is low, below basic without geographical spread.
    In the second week of sentinel epidemiological surveillance type of current season there were 5 cases of clinically compatible with influenza disease but have not been confirmed as influenza laboratory Cantacuzino Institute.

     ARI incidence per 100,000 population reported in the area covered by sentinel surveillance system was week 41/2013 of 749.8 % 000; 6 % higher value than that recorded in the same week of the previous season and 5.6 % lower than that recorded in the previous week . ARI incidence was below the value of 879.7 % 000 representing the national epidemic threshold calculated for the 2013-2014 season ;
     consultation rate by sentinel GPs was 6.1 % ( the highest percentage in the age group 0-1 years ) and the rate of 0.14 % home visits (most in those aged 0-1 years ) ;
     Total short-term sick leave granted in week 41/2013 was 516 , totaling 2770 days .
     In 7 counties ( Arges, Braila, Buzau , Harghita , Ilfov , Satu Mare and Sibiu ) exceeded the scope of ARI standard deviation calculated average incidence Sentinel system in week 41/2013 ( 794.1 % 000 ) . Arges, Braila, Buzau , Satu Mare, Sibiu to exceed the average incidence of ARI with a standard deviation .
     In a total of 26 counties ( 61.9 % of the counties participating in the surveillance system ) ARI incidence was below baseline at week 41/2013 .

    From the Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases National Institute of Public Health and the National Center for Influenza in INCDMI Cantacuzino shows that in week 46/2013 , in Romania the intensity of influenza / acute respiratory infections is low , below the base without geographical spread .
    In the seventh week of sentinel epidemiological surveillance type of the current season there have been 10 cases of clinically compatible illness with flu <ILI> but have not been confirmed as avian influenza laboratory Cantacuzino Institute ( all 10 samples were negative for influenza viruses ) .

      From the Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases National Institute of Public Health and the National Center for Influenza in INCDMI Cantacuzino shows that in week 47/2013 , in Romania the intensity of influenza / acute respiratory infections is low , below the base without geographical spread .

      In the eighth week of sentinel epidemiological surveillance type of the current season there were 7 cases of clinically compatible illness with flu <ILI> but have not been confirmed as influenza laboratory Cantacuzino Institute ( all 7 samples were negative for influenza viruses ) .

      In a total of 36 counties ( 85.7 % of the counties participating in the surveillance system ) ARI incidence was below baseline at week 47/2013 .

            From the Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases National Institute of Public Health and the National Center for Influenza in INCDMI Cantacuzino shows that in week 52/2013 in Romania influenza activity is sporadic , low intensity , incidence of acute respiratory infections falling within the expected level this week .
             Nationally, the total number of clinical conditions <ILI> compatible with influenza and respiratory infections ( 44 474 ) is 10% higher than that recorded in the same week of the previous season and 42.3 % lower than that registered the previous week ( mainly due to under - reporting of the winter holidays ) .
             In week 52/2013 there were 3 cases with national clinical conditions compatible with influenza <ILI> 4 times less than those recorded in week 52/2012 (12 cases ILI ) .
             The number of cases of severe acute respiratory infection <SARI> reported decreased 5 cases versus 10 cases in the previous week . Compared to the same period last year , the number of cases notified is less severe 4 .
             There were no SARI deaths this week ;
             Total deaths to date is 3 , any laboratory confirmed influenza .
            Since the beginning of the season surveillance of respiratory infections , flu , SARI and until 12.30.2013 including flu were confirmed two cases:

            From the Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases National Institute of Public Health and the National Center for Influenza in INCDMI Cantacuzino shows that in week 1/2014 in Romania influenza activity is sporadic , low intensity , incidence of acute respiratory infections falling within the expected level this week .

             Nationally, the total number of clinical conditions <ILI> compatible with influenza and respiratory infections ( 38 207 ) is 1.8% lower than that recorded in the same week of the previous season and 14.1% lower than that recorded in the previous week.

             In week 1/2014 there were 3 cases with national clinical conditions compatible with influenza <ILI> , 9.6 times less than those recorded in week 1/2013 ( 29 cases ILI ) .

             The number of cases of severe acute respiratory infection decreased <SARI> reported in 2 cases , compared to 5 cases in the previous week . Compared to the same period last year , the number of cases is less severe notified by 9 .

             There were no SARI deaths this week ;

             Total deaths to date is 3 , any laboratory confirmed influenza .
            Since the beginning of the season surveillance of respiratory infections , flu , SARI and until 01.07.2014 including flu were confirmed three cases:
            - 3 type A influenza viruses , of which:
             2 subtype H1 pdm09 and
             1 subtype H3

            Characterization of the first patient isolates indicated that they correspond to the vaccine .
            Until 01/05/2014 375 682 people were vaccinated shot in risk groups , vaccine distributed by the Ministry of Health.

                 In week 2/2014 there have been five confirmed cases nationwide flu : two with
                Influenza virus type A, subtype H1 pdm09 and 3 H3 subtype influenza A virus . The five cases of
                laboratory confirmed influenza occurred in unvaccinated persons shot.
                 Nationally, the total number of clinical conditions compatible with influenza infections <ILI>
                Respiratory ( 75.974 ) is 15.1% higher than that recorded in the same
                week of the previous season and 1.9 % times higher than that recorded in

                   In week 4/2014 there have been five confirmed cases nationwide flu 4 with
                  Influenza virus type A, subtype H1 pdm09 ( in which case SARI ) and one influenza virus type A
                  H3 subtype . The five laboratory confirmed cases of influenza occurred in people

                   Nationally, the total number of clinical conditions compatible with influenza infections <ILI>
                  Respiratory ( 85.754 ) is 8% higher than that recorded in the same
                  week of the previous season and 3.8 % higher than that recorded in

                   Nationally there were 17 clinical illness compatible with influenza <ILI> of 4.6

                    low intensity , incidence of acute respiratory infections fits in the

                     In week 6/2014 there have been 15 confirmed cases nationwide influenza in
                    the 53 tested, of which 8 with influenza A ( H3) and 7 with influenza A ( H1) pdm09 .
                    Exceeding 10% of positive samples with the same influenza virus subtype indicates
                    a movement active community transmission of influenza. 14 confirmed flu cases
                    laboratory occurred in unvaccinated persons shot.
                     Nationally, the total number of clinical conditions compatible with influenza infections <ILI>
                    Respiratory ( 76.034 ) is 21% lower than that recorded in the same
                    week of the previous season and 11.7 % lower than that recorded in
                    previous week.
                     There were 41 national clinical conditions compatible with influenza <ILI> , 3.7
                    times less than those recorded in week 6/2013 ( 154 ILI cases ) .
                     The number of cases of severe acute respiratory infection <SARI> reported (20 cases)
                    3 was lower than the same period last year and double the week
                    before.
                     There were no new deaths confirmed influenza cases .
                    Until now there were two deaths confirmed influenza A ( H1) pdm09 :
                    a woman , aged 50, from Mures , with medical conditions
                    preexisting unvaccinated shot ( did not follow the doctor's announcement
                    family) ;
                    a Man ​​, aged 45 years , Galati County with medical conditions
                    preexisting unvaccinated influenza ( medical contraindication ) .

                       To date there were 4 deaths confirmed influenza A ( H1) pdm09 . in the last
                      week there were two of these deaths :
                      a woman , aged 43 years , from Mures, unvaccinated influenza because
                      a plurialergii ;
                      A woman aged 54 years, Arad with medical conditions
                      preexisting unvaccinated influenza ( default ) .

                         In week 8/2014 there have been 29 confirmed cases nationwide with

                        woman of 57 years , in Bihor county , with pre-existing medical conditions ,
                        unvaccinated shot.

                        Since the beginning of the season surveillance of acute respiratory infections , influenza and
                        SARI and until 10.02.2014 , 89 were confirmed flu cases:
                         88 influenza viruses type A, of which:
                         46 subtype H1 pdm09 , including 5 deaths ;

                         Nationally, the total number of clinical conditions compatible with influenza <ILI> and

                        same week of the previous season and 10.4% higher than the
                        in the preceding week .
                         There were 85 national clinical conditions compatible with influenza <ILI> , 3.4
                        times less than those recorded in week 9/2013 ( 287 ILI cases ) .
                         The number of cases of severe acute respiratory infection <SARI> reported (15 cases)
                        was 16 lower than the same period last year and higher than 4
                        previous week.
                        There were two deaths in confirmed cases of influenza virus A ( H1) pdm09 :
                        a man of 73 years in Bucharest, with pre-existing medical conditions , unvaccinated
                        shot and a woman 53 years of Timis county with medical conditions
                        preexisting unvaccinated shot.

                        Since the beginning of the season surveillance of acute respiratory infections , influenza and
                        SARI and until 04.03.2014 were 148 confirmed influenza cases:
                        - 142 cases of avian influenza virus type A, of which:
                         66 subtype H1 pdm09 , 7 deaths ;
                        76  subtype H3, of which 0 deaths ;
                         1 coinfection H1pdm09 and H3, of which 0 deaths ;
