Latvia - Avian flu H5N1 and H5N8 found in bird samples - October 5, 2021
From October 5, 2021 OIE report and cited in CHP report:
Samples from birds in Rojas were tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza A(H5N1).
Samples from birds in Jûrmala, Engures, Ventspils City, Pâvilostas, Latvian Exclusive Economic Zone, Rîga, Mçrsraga, Liepâja and Saldus were tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza A(H5N8).
