    16 outbreaks of avian influenza in Poland

    Chief Veterinary Officer has confirmed three more outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Polish. In total there are now sixteen.

    Fourteenth flu outbreak occurred in a holding of more than 32,000 turkeys in Lubiszyn (district gorzowski, Lubuskie). The results obtained on December 27 in the CIP-PIB in Pulawy confirmed that H5N8 is a virus attacked the flock.

    On the same day GLW said fifteenth outbreak in a flock of 70 poultry, including Muscovy ducks and chickens. The farm is located in the town of Zag?rzyce (municipality Pińcz?w Pińcz?w County, Świętokrzyskie).

    December 28, samples tested in the laboratory for reference. Avian influenza confirmed sixteenth outbreak in a flock of more than 22,000 turkeys. Poultry was kept in the village of Stare Polichno (Santok commune, district gorzowski, Lubuskie), on a farm located within the surveillance zone established around the farm, which sets the first outbreak of bird flu this year.
