Epidemiological comments
Following the first outbreak of avian influenza, the strengthening of epidemiological surveillance helped to detect secondary outbreaks and control the disease in the localities, subject of this follow-up report. The control measures applied are in line with Law 006 of 16 April 2001 on zoo-sanitary standards applying to livestock diseases legally considered as contagious and subjected to compulsory reporting, and to the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code recommendations.
