  • 23 new hospital admissions and 11 deaths

    122 new cases were reported on Sunday, June 7. Of these, 78 live in Flanders, 24 in Wallonia and 19 in Brussels. We have no information about the place of residence of the other case. This brings the total number of confirmed infected persons to 59,348.
    Furthermore, the situation is as follows:
    • A total of 573 patients are currently admitted to hospitals. There were 23 new recordings in the past 24 hours.
    • There are a total of 116 patients in the intensive care unit, an increase of 5 patients in the past 24 hours.
    • 16,315 patients have been discharged from the hospital and declared cured since March 15, an increase from 24 in the past 24 hours.
    • A total of 9,606 deaths were reported, up from 11 in the past 24 hours. Of those 11, 8 people died in the hospital and 3 in a residential care center. In the latter group, 67% was confirmed by a COVID test.
    • Of the total of 9 606 persons who died, 48% died in the hospital, 50% in a residential care center, 0.5% in other residential groups, and 0.6% at home and elsewhere. Most hospital deaths (95%) are confirmed cases. Deaths in residential care centers included 26% confirmed cases and 74% suspected cases.

    • 89 new infections

      09-06-202089 new cases were reported on Monday, June 8. Of these, 44 live in Flanders, 34 in Wallonia and 11 in Brussels. This brings the total number of confirmed infected persons to 59,437.
      Furthermore, the situation is as follows:
      • A total of 573 patients are currently admitted to hospitals. There were 16 new recordings in the past 24 hours.
      • The intensive care unit contains a total of 115 patients, which is a further decrease by 1 patients in the past 24 hours.
      • 16 324 patients have been discharged from the hospital and declared cured since March 15, an increase from 9 in the past 24 hours.
      • A total of 9,619 deaths were reported, up from 13 in the past 24 hours. Of those 13, 13 people died in the hospital and 0 in a residential care center. In the latter group, N / A was confirmed by a COVID test.
      • Of the 9,619 persons who died, 48% died in the hospital, 50% in a residential care center, 0.5% in other residential groups, and 0.6% at home and elsewhere. Most hospital deaths (95%) are confirmed cases. Deaths in residential care centers included 26% confirmed cases and 74% suspected cases.
