Just like last year, Pennsylvania wild birds are showing signs of H5N1. This time it is in hunter killed mallards. Testing underway to specifically determine type and pathogenicity.

Do the statistics allow for enough comparison between years to ascertain if there is an increase in H5N1 incidence? Or is the sampling too small?
