          Jember ? Hundreds of chickens had died suddenly in Karang Baru village, Silo sub-district, Jember, East Java. A total 76 chickens from 17 households are H5N1 positive.

                    This is concerning if this patients are genuinely bird flu suspects; to release them back to the community (whether on tamiflu or not) is risky. Does this represent a major shift in policy, perhaps arising from a lack of funding?
