Eight new deaths related to flu epidemic A/H1N1 were recorded during the weekend, announced to Monday the Minister for Roselyne Bachelot Health.
It is about an epidemic which ?can have forms mainly not very severe but which shows severe forms, in particular in young children?, she recalled on RMC-Information.
?We still recorded eight death practically in the weekend, with people who for the majority had neither risk factor, nor particular problem?, added Mrs. Bachelot, insistent on the need for being made vaccinate.
The Minister for the Health, which was to meet president Nicolas Sarkozy in the morning, considered to be ?possible? that France passes on the level six of the plan of pandemia grippale, recalling that this phase ?had been imagined at the time of the avian flu?. ?There are tools in the level six which can be used right now, for example the prohibition of the gatherings?. ?But that does not want to say that one will inevitably use? all these ?tools?.
Questioned on a possible participation of the general doctors in the vaccination campaign, she repeated that she did not wish it. ?I want to preserve the capacity of the general doctors to deal with the seized up patients?.
Roselyne Bachelot stated that the 800.000 vaccines in unit doses available to France are intended in priority to the homeless people. ?I give these unit doses to the teams of petty thievings which will vaccinate most fragile among us?, it specified. AP
