    BANGKOK, June 29 (Xinhua) -- A Thai naval conscript died in connection with flu A/H1N1 infection on Monday morning, raising the country's death toll to three, according to Thai News Agency.

    On Sunday, the patient's condition worsened as blood came from inside his lung, Doctor Rewat Wisarutwej, director-general of the Medical Department, was quoted by the news agency as saying.

    Doctor Rewat also said the country had 41 new cases of the flu, which brought the country's total number of confirmed cases to 1,330, according to a report on the website of the newspaper The Nation.

    The 21-year-old navy cadet was obese, which caused him to have weak lungs, the health permanent secretary Praj Boonyawongwirojana said.

    His condition had deteriorated on Sunday, and he died on Monday morning, the head of the Department of Medical Services Dr Rewat Wisarutvej said.
    Surapon Chatwanit, head of Somdej Phranangjao Sirikit Hospital in Chonburi, said the cadet was admitted there last Monday. He had penumonia and tested postitive for the H1N1 virus.

    The ministry also reported 41 new cases of influenza A infection on Monday, raising the total number to 1,330 in Thailand. Eighteen of the patients remained in hospital.
    Prior to the death of the naval cadet, a 40-year-old woman died on June 20 at a private hospital in Bangkok and a 42-year-old man who was an engineer died on June 27 from the virus.

            A naval conscript succumbed to the type-A (H1N1) influenza infection Monday morning, raising to three the number of the flu fatalities, the director-general of the Medical Department said.
            Doctor Rewat Wisarutwej, the director-general of the Medical Department, also reported 41 new cases of type-A (H1N1) influenza, raising the accumulated number of the cases in Thailand to 1,330.
            The naval conscript suffered from bleeding in lungs and his heart stopped beating several times Sunday night.
            Doctors put him on respiratory system but he succumbed to the disease at 9 am Monday, Rewat said.

              The above confirms that the fatality was among the 7 H1N1 confirmed and 200 ill cadets at the Sattahib base in Thailand.
