The Ministry of Health and World Health Organization have announced that two more cases of avian influenza H5N1 have been found in Cambodia.
According to their joint press release issued on Thursday, a 10-year-old girl from Kampong Cham province and a 11-year-old girl from Tbong Khmum province were both confirmed positive for H5N1 by the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge on Feb. 20 and Tamiflu was administered on the same day.
Currently, the two girls recovered and had normal activities, underlined the press release.
They are the 4th and 5th cases of H5N1 this year, and the 51st and 52nd persons to become infected with the virus in Cambodia since 2005, it added.
