    Published :2013-4-27 10:02:00

BEIJING, April 26 message, according to the website of the Ministry of Agriculture, as of April 26, the provinces and the National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory were found 46 positive H7N9 avian influenza virus, not isolated H7N9 avian influenza from poultry farms around virus, also found no pigs infected with the virus.

Ministry of Agriculture said that as of April 26, the provinces and the National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory samples 390628, the sample covers 13,014 monitoring sampling field point, of which 2,587 live poultry market, 337 poultry slaughterhouse, 8808 poultry farm (village), 341 wild birds habitat, 277 pig slaughterhouse, 31 pig farms and 633 environmental sampling point.

Present, were detected in samples of 218,897 copies, which serological 150,837 samples, 68060 etiology samples. 68060 etiology samples found that 46 H7N9 avian influenza virus, the positive rate of 0.07%. 44 of 14 from Shanghai, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Henan provinces (municipalities) of live poultry business market (points) poultry and environmental samples; 2 positive samples from pigeons, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province samples from MSC County, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, Pigeon farmers. The remaining samples were negative. Up to now, all over is not isolated from poultry farms to the H7N9 avian influenza virus, also found no pigs infected with the virus.

Next, the Ministry of Agriculture will continue to strengthen the sector, in close collaboration to strengthen the linkage. The same time, to further strengthen the monitoring of H7N9 avian influenza virus, strengthen the study of the characteristics of the virus and dissemination of law, to carry out risk assessment and situation judged, effective and orderly and effective good response.

Zhejiang Yiwu market chicken samples the H7N9 positive for the city to stop live animal
      http://www.dayoo.com/ 2013-04-29 19:45 Source: Zhejiang Online Reviews (0)

Two nights ago, the Ministry of Agriculture Information Office published a news release bar on its official website epidemic: the Ministry of Agriculture to 3 copies of H7N9 avian influenza positive samples detected from samples of Henan and Zhejiang.

The message: Zhejiang animal disease prevention and control center for inspection suspected positive samples for review by the National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory, were positive for H7N9 avian influenza, samples were collected from the vegetable market, Yiwu, Jinhua, Zhejiang, Chian chicken.

      Visit Chi'an farms

Sampling the the chicken samples H7N9 avian influenza-positive vegetable market, opposite the town of Yiwu Chian benefits of hotel, the locals like to call it the "village vegetable market.

Yesterday afternoon, coming and going, the market is no different with the past.

Fish Zhang, Jiangxi, a few months ago, first came to the vegetable market. For avian influenza things, he was not quite "cold." "At first pass, quite evil, and now, you see, I am in the markets every day, the body is very good."

Zhang opposite the fish stalls, separated by 3 meters, is the problem chicken stalls has been plastic film around it. Through the cracks, I saw inside stacked eight cages, the booth one side there is a stove is used to boil water for the chicken ham hair. Stalls outside the ground, but also keep a lot of the disinfection white powder.

April 16, initially detected the chicken samples H7N9 avian influenza positive, chicken stalls closed.

In the vegetable market, I found a stall she had got, "April 15, someone sample testing results the next day, people come to me about the chicken away. Those days no business almost 10 chickens, eight were taken away. "(Ms. Zhou's memory may deviate According to the records of the relevant departments, the day a total of 12 chickens, 10 of which were taken away processing.)

Zhou said, later also to do a physical examination. "I heard them say, no problem, we can rest assured."

The past few days, the town hospitals doctors every day to the market. Morning Afternoon of all time, to all business operators body temperature, until now, did not find anything. "

Chen Big Brother come to buy vegetables market every day to do the disinfection work, coupled with the chickens, ducks and other poultry is no longer sold, they come here to buy food, do not worry about infection.

It is understood that, as the H7N9 avian flu was first detected positive town in Yiwu, Chian first suspended all poultry trading activities.

      Yiwu CDC:

Found no human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza

Yesterday, I went to the the Yiwu CDC.

Yiwu has found no human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza? The Yiwu Communicable Disease Prevention chief Dong Xuanjun first talked about this problem.

"Up to now, Yiwu, the city found no human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza." DONG Xuan Jun said that starting in early April, Yiwu CDC weekly collected by Yiwu Central Hospital more than 15 cases of ordinary flu H7N9 avian influenza virus detection, so far found no suspicious circumstances.

The Dong Xuanjun, while meeting the needs in a timely manner to the case of four categories, Yiwu Central Hospital of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza virus detection. "The recent history of poultry exposure; temperature greater than or equal to 38 degrees Celsius; flu-like symptoms; leukocyte or lower."

"If people have the above four cases, can go to the nearest community health service centers or Yiwu human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza sentinel clinics hospital Yiwu Central Hospital patient treatment of fever, the fever clinic doctor according to your actual situation to determine need to detect from April 12, has been on the medical staff of the city's medical and health units and private out-patient units in batches training. "

For the consumption of poultry products, DONG Xuan Army gives his own views. 65 degrees 30 minutes inactivated H7N9 avian influenza virus in the environment of 100 degrees Celsius, as long as two minutes can be inactivated, therefore, is not to say that poultry products can not eat, but special attention, Recently consumption poultry food to be cooked fully cooked. "

      Livestock sector: Pause live animal

April 23, Yiwu municipal government issued an emergency notice requirements towns Street and the relevant government departments to immediately implement the measures: suspension of live poultry trading; further expand the scope of monitoring; suspension of live poultry transported; carry out illegal feeding of birds culled .

Yesterday, Yiwu Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau staff said: they have strict accordance with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal H7N9 avian influenza emergency response Guide (Trial) "requirement the Chian vegetable market and remain live chickens sound processing, and venues strict disinfection, a citywide dragnet investigation of the outbreak and epidemiological investigation, starting from April 14, sampling a total of 1200 samples, except Chian, all testing qualified.

Slaughterhouses, markets, farms, three groups of sampling and monitoring work, the moment did not stop, April 23, the city stop live animal, we go to the farms, supervision, is still illegal sales immediately harmless treatment, disinfection work did not do a good job in a timely manner, we immediately notify the relevant departments, to protect the security market. "

H7N9 avian flu suddenly to the livestock industry in Yiwu was injured. In the prevention and control of avian infection at the same time, in order not to let the whole industry collapse, according to the relevant policies in the province, Yiwu livestock sector also strengthened the industry support.

Avian field, each 15 yuan subsidy, the leading enterprises acquired a chicken subsidy, other farms according to size, has also been given compensation policies. "Chen Binfeng

          Unlocking
          a
          3 Piece 4D Puzzle

Existence of Keys to Emergent H7N9

A sub-clinical disease pattern in most host subjects of emergent H7N9 with low-to-no morbidity allows "silent spread" between the 3 vector classes with the various mammal species being the most important vector at this time. The genetic evidence presented on this thread and these forums should guide lab heads to task principal investigators with re-examining conventional conclusions about sub-segment viral interchange between terrestrial birds (primarily commercial poultry), mammals (people, canines, felines, mink, seals and whales) and roving birds (anseriformes and passerine).

          Historical Method of Reservoir Identification

The emergent H7N9 dynamic may appear unusual in the area of pinpointing a reservoir, but is, in fact, no more unusual than the emergent 2009 H1N1 pandemic where no valid cornerstone reservoir was ever defined, though the public has been consistently led to believe the disease originated in swine. Effort has been expended at every level of virology, extensive effort, to validate the conventional science assumption of swine as the 2009 pandemic base.

More than 7,000 H1 swine sequences appear in the database today with 5,800 after 2004 and 4,900 since 2008. More swine sequences are on file for H1 serotypes than all H5 sequences of all species combined and 3 times the number of all H7 sequences for all species combined.

This costly pursuit of their assumption has not returned a positive finding, but has been prosecuted to adverse effect for surveillance on more probable subjects. The idea that science can conclude so rapidly on a complex problem with diminishing support data and with readily available confounding information defies the very concept of science, of knowledge discovery. This vehement adherence to traditional conclusions, nothing more than blind faith in practice, has no place in disease investigation.

          Footing for H7N9 Emergence

The world entered this emergency with a toolkit built around the vast observational database for H7N9 of 26 sequences with analytic-limiting geographic and temporal dispersion (only 6 with 8 complete segments). Today, 4 weeks after announcement of a potential pandemic and 8 weeks after confirmed cases, a total of 15 H7N9 genomes are on file with 8 complete segments (47 HA, 36 HA+NA) and 2 of those are unacknowledged and unannotated practical duplicates with conflicting metadata.

Understanding the disease and preventing potential spread to 1.6 billion people (25% CAR) hinges on a count of pathogen specimens produced by the stellar international virology labs loitering at a population slightly higher than a baker's dozen box of doughnuts.

That's neither good eating, nor sufficient fuel for analysis. Confidence is not generally inspired by those striking so limited a foundation. Perhaps more remains to be understood concerning the initiation, development and maturation of pandemic virus reservoirs. And then again, perhaps the data is of no import to this matter:

Dys-Contiguous emergence in Hunan province was predicted on the 14th of April using the aforementioned limited genetic database. Yesterday, emergence was verified in Hunan as early as April 14th on a positive test confirmation.

          System Dynamics of Vector Classes

Complex interplay exists between the three vector classes. Bi-directional transmission will eventually be understood at each level using the proper necropsy procedures and with revision of human testing sensitivity.
          • Poultry incubates (chicken, duck with emphases on quail, chukkar, partridge & ratite)
          • People incubate (male /female, both tails of the age-to-population curve: very young and very old)
          • Passerines incubate and transport over distance (magpies, crows, jays, martins, swallows with emphases on pets & pigeons).

Emergent H7N9 with the proven movement of genetic data involving common passerines may appear daunting and fall outside standing models now, but the ΣH7N9 may be found at some point in the future to be using a very normal form of step-wise genetic acquisition for a pandemic goal-seeking organism. But we may never know because new models arise from data and H7N9 data is sparse geographically, sparse temporally and austerely sparse in every area but sparsity.

          Exchange Proposal: Keys For Data
We'd like to propose an exchange: keys for data.
Participants are invited to explore anywhere you want with whatever vehicle you can start with these keys (Open Access, Full Text). Just report back what you find on your trek (GISAID with any ethical clinicals in any language). We've asked for specific data on many previous occasions and have offered the keys as well, but we'll give it another try:

          Passerines: Pets & Pigeons
3P's of the emergent H7N9 Puzzle
These 3P's are not dissimilar to 3 keys.

          Summary of RFI

One puzzle, four dimensions, three keys . . . all that's missing is one bright lab head. Who will invest the fourth dimension, take these keys, wrinkle the fabric and approach the puzzle?

                That's a great image, Al!

We should have been more specific in our introduction of the idea on this thread.

A great deal of backing data is found on the standard GeneWurx RnR Analytic Summary entitled Cross Serotype Homology covering the first and second human sequence deposits at GISAID. Although the graphic does illustrate, in general, what we believe is a valid permutable set, our comments on this thread were intended to be much more specific toward a proposed mechanism driving the development of the emergent H7N9 Hemagglutinin via accumulative sub-segment genetic transfer from a number of different serotypes in two separate classes of influenza over a time duration of at least 4 years and potentially 11 years.

Let's bring the diagram title into that discussion when you have a moment.

I am not a genetics expert but it seems to me that if H7N9 is an avian influenza that is fairly well adapted to mammals (as proven by sequence analysis), it must have cycled through swine. Swine are mammals and could be responsible for the mammalian adaptation - which indicates to me that this flu is widespread on pig farms.

The MOA mentioned this possibility in their paper published online yesterday:

"Thirdly, beyond that the virus can infect humans and birds, we think that the virus can also infect pigs which support circulation of both AIVs and human influenza viruses."

the mammalean adaption had been exaggerated.
It's just those 2 "mammalean" mutations.
We had seen them before in birds.
It was just surprising to see them just after
                    the Fouchier-Kawaoka predictions.

The virus is still avian since decades.
