    One new case of Avian Influenza (AI) re-discovered in Indonesia.     This report is a hopefull sign of a better communication regarding H5N1 from the Ministry of Health (Depkes) in Indonesia. Dated jan. 9, published today, jan 10 .
    The same report was published earlier today via the blog of the Ministry of Health, Sehat Negeriku.

Pada kesempatan tersebut, Tim Flu Burung RSUP Persahabatan masih melakukan observasi terhadap pasien secara ketat di ruang isolasi, dan menunggu hasil pemeriksaan Polymirasea Chain Reaction (PCR) yang harus dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali guna menegakkan vonis apakah suspect tersebut dinyatakan negatif atau positif terkena virus H5N1.

    “Hasil PCR yang pertama sudah didapatkan, hasilnya negatif. Yang kedua hasilnya siang ini, dan yang ketiga baru besok, karena baru diambil pagi ini”, ujar Dirut RSUP Persahabatan.

    Dirut RSUP Persahabatan menyatakan bahwa pemeriksaan flu burung ditanggung pemerintah. Apabila hasil pemeriksaan dinyatakan negatif, pasien akan segera dipindahkan dari ruang isolasi.

                      LAPORAN KASUS FLU BURUNG KE 188

                      Jakarta, 26 Maret 2012

                      Kementerian Kesehatan RI, ?Direktorat Jenderal Pengendalian penyakit dan Penyehatan Lingkungan? mengumumkan satu kasus baru H5N1 yang telah dikonfirmasi oleh Pusat Biomedis dan Teknologi Kesehatan, Balitbangkes.

                      Kasus atas nama D (laki-laki, 17 tahun) warga Lingsar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Provinsi NTB, merupakan seorang buruh bangunan. Tanggal 28 Februari 2012 timbul gejala demam, tanggal 1 Maret 2012 kasus berobat jalan ke Puskesmas Lingsar, lalu pada tanggal 4 Maret 2012 kasus dirawat di Puskesmas Narmada. Pada tanggal 7 Maret 2012 kasus dirujuk ke RSUP Mataram dan dirawat di RS tersebut. Keadaan kasus semakin memburuk dan pada tanggal 9 Maret 2012 kasus meninggal pada pukul 23.50 WITA.

                      Telah dilakukan penyelidikan epidemiologi ke rumah penderita dan lingkungan sekitar oleh Tim Terpadu Kemenkes dan Dinas Kesehatan setempat, didapat kemungkinan faktor risiko yaitu kontak lingkungan dengan adanya kematian unggas (ayam) di sekitar tempat tinggalnya.

                      Dengan bertambahnya satu kasus ini, jumlah kumulatif flu burung di Indonesia sejak tahun 2005 sampai berita ini disiarkan adalah 188 kasus dengan 156 kematian.
