BEIJING: Communists authorities sent a senior functionary to pacify protesters who had sealed off a village prohibiting government officials from entering as a mark of protest against land grabbing and the alleged death of a local leader during police questioning. The authorities have even accepted the key demands behind the weeklong protest.
