South Jersey Diocese Lifts Swine Flu Restriction
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) ―
<DL class="cbstv_article_images cbstv_img_border" sizset="3" sizcache="0"><DT>Catholics in southern New Jersey can shake hands at Mass again.<DT><DT> <DT>The Camden Diocese has ended a restriction on shaking hands while giving a sign of peace that was imposed to prevent the spread of swine flu.
They'll also be able to receive Communion in the form of wine from a communal cup.
Bishop Joseph Galante told pastors to return the custom now that federal health officials are reporting low levels of H1N1 infection.
The bishop says those experiencing flu-like symptoms should not come to Mass.
