Obviously they are having a hard time differentiating between A/H1N1 and A/H5N1.

It looks like Fayoum has a mix.

It is probably why the Ministry of Health denied the press release referred to in the above post.

It looks to me that they have a highly suspected H5N1 death of an infant (age - 44 days). This is important because a child of this age is not playing with sick poultry or eating infected poultry.

I colored coded the posts, thanks IOH, to help differentiate the cases. If anyone has another opinion, please post. A couple of the cases I was not sure which flu they are suspected of having so I left those as a black color.

That seems to make sense. The articles do appear to refer to the 44-day old infant as bird flu, but they all it "emerging bird flu", which appears in another articles with the word "pigs" in parentheses next to it. I'm not sure the infant isn't suspected as H1N1.

It is possible. In any event they have hundreds of children who are sick with pneumonia systems, a few have tested positive for A/H1N1, at the very least.....

I wish they would just tell us - frankly..........

Laboratory tests confirmed the central Ministry of Health wounded two children in Fayoum disease ?emerging influenza?.

The samples have been taken from the children, Kamal Abdel-Halim Abdel-Halim (3 years) resident in a village center Etsa Fayoum, and the child Noor Ahmed horny aged one month and the resident district in the mystic city of Fayoum.

In a different context, Dr. Hatem held the Minister of Health meeting on Tuesday, with representatives of the United Nations to combat avian influenza, swine, and attended the meeting, Dr. David Nabarua Coordinator General of the United Nations to combat influenza. He said the mountain after the meeting: ?not invited to concern, injuries and deaths are expected and normal?, pointing out that the number of deaths stood at 348 swine flu case since last October And it has been modified influenza vaccines for the prevention of all types of influenza, whether seasonal or pigs. According to the minister.

The mountain that Egypt is one of the few countries that continue to monitor the bird flu and the number of injuries and deaths from the virus ?normal in this period where the spread of seasonal influenza, which has become of the swine flu after the World Health Organization said mutations to the normal seasonal flu?

The mountain was not satisfied of the device evaluated by the World Health Organization severity of the disease and the way he said it was ?shown on a geographical distribution only causing panic and consternation in the world was indispensable?

I believe in this case the references to "new type of influenza" are to A/H1N1 and that they are isolating the patients in the wards reserved for bird flu patients.
