YUMA, Ariz. ? The first pediatric influenza death has been confirmed in Yuma County this year.

County Health Department officials say that due to privacy laws, no information about the case is being released except that the child had multiple underlying medical conditions.

As of Saturday, Yuma County has received 72 reports of laboratory confirmed influenza.

Health officials say vaccination is recommended for all people 6 months of age and older.

They say this year's influenza vaccine contains the H1N1 strain currently circulating throughout Arizona.
