Human cases: 4414 notified with 2368 discarded, 915 suspected, and 1131 confirmed cases with 338 YFV associated fatalities reported by Brazil MOH as of 28 March; Non-Human Primate (NHP) cases: 5575 notified, 12325 discarded, 1749 suspected, 665 confirmed and 1926 "not determined" cases reported by Brazil MOH as of 28 March As in previous season, the southeast with Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo is the mostly affected area. Compared to the 2016-2017 YFV season, the number of confirmed cases and YFV associated fatalities is higher in the 2017-2018 when compared to EW 12/2017 although the number of suspected cases is lower in the 2017-2018. The mortality rate varies between 30.9% and 100% (average:49.17%).
