Human cases: 3234 notified with 1560 discarded, 828 suspected, and 846 confirmed cases with 260 YFV associated fatalities reported by Brazil MOH as of 07 March; Non-Human Primate (NHP) cases: 4667 notified, 873 discarded, 1515 suspected, 578 confirmed and 1701 "not determined" cases reported by Brazil MOH as of 07 March As in previous season, the southeast with Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo is the mostly affected area. Compared to the 2016-2017 YFV season, the number of confirmed cases and YFV associated fatalities is higher in the 2017-2018 when compared to EW 09/2017 although the number of suspected cases is lower in the 2017-2018. The mortality rate varies between 29.9% and 100% (average:50.02%).
