High school football player tackling mysterious virus

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A freshman football player at Spring Valley High School is fighting for his life after a sudden illness with a mysterious virus two weeks ago.

Wade Smith is being treated in Columbus, Ohio, two and a half hours away from home and friends.

Smith's coach, Tim George, says the young player has shown signs of improvement, but he suffered setbacks over the weekend...
