Second warning issued to Whatcom Co. residents about possible measles exposure

BELLINGHAM - Public health officials have issued a second warning to Whatcom County residents about possible measles exposure - this time for shoppers who may have been at Costco and Walmart on Meridian Street on the evening of Wednesday, April 14.
A Canadian who had measles shopped at both places on that day. Earlier this month, a warning was issued for people who stopped at the McDonald's restaurant on Samish Way on Sunday, April 4, because a Canadian who had the contagious disease was there on that day.
In the most recent case, shoppers may have been exposed to the measles virus if they were at Costco from 7:15 until 8:30 p.m. or at Walmart from 8:45 until 10 p.m., according to the Whatcom County Health Department.
Shoppers who don't have immunity to the virus will start showing symptoms between April 21 and May 5, the health department said on Friday, April 23...
