MOSCOW -- About 300 Russian children have reportedly fallen ill after receiving an immunization to ward off symptoms of tick bites.
Prosecutors have been alerted about the incident in the northern Russian town of Vologda. About 40 students immediately showed symptoms following the immunization against meningitis, reported Russian media.
State-run TV said authorities have pulled the immunizing agent EnzeWir out of distribution. Health authorities said the reaction of the children was unusual.
