Swine flu outbreak closes Vietnam boarding school
A private school in Ho Chi Minh City has been closed and put under quarantine after 41 students and teachers were found to be infected with the H1N1 swine-flu virus, Vietnam state media reported yesterday.
Ngo Thoi Nhiem School was the first educational facility in Vietnam to be shut down because of the outbreak, the state-run Viet Nam News said. Seventy-nine of the school?s 900 pupils were quarantined at the school on Monday.
It is the biggest H1N1 patient cluster so far and the most serious case in Vietnam, Health Minister Nguyen Quoc Trieu said.
Vietnam on Monday confirmed 25 new swine-flu cases.
