Venezuela accumulates more than 3,000 cases of dengue in 2022

Venezuela has reported three deaths and more than 3,000 cases of dengue between January and this August 26, International Day Against Dengue, according to figures from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
According to what was reported by the health authorities to the PAHO Health Information Platform for the Americas (Plisa), Venezuela has detected 3,199 cases of dengue in the year, of which 10 are cases of severe dengue.
During the same period, but in the year 2021, the country accumulated 4,009 cases of dengue, of which 18 were severe dengue.
The situation report on Venezuela prepared by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (Ocha), and updated on August 26, highlighted that vector-borne diseases, such as dengue, chikungunya and Zika remain "with stable figures " in the country.
