Vaccine for the H1N1 type arrives on the battlefield, the U.S. military and half of the amount requested

WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Pentagon said the soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan for 3 days, pandemic influenza (H1N1 type) vaccine arrived from the U.S. mainland. However, a mere half of the amount requested, that does not meet the full amount.
According to the Pentagon, U.S. Central Command oversees military operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan, demanded 30 million vaccines. However, this had reached 15 million. The remaining 15 million for the arrival time is uncertain.


The vaccination status in the U.S. military-type H1N1, which varies greatly by region. Soldiers deployed to Korea but has already been vaccinated at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the vaccine will be 11 next month, he said.
