45 goats die of unknown disease in Bageshwar dist: The veterinary authorities in Bageshwar district are faced with the problem of a large number of goats dying on account of an unknown disease. According to reports, 45 goats have died in the higher reaches of the district in the villages of Kilpara, Kunwari and Badiyakot. The villagers have demanded that officials of the Veterinary Department organise health camps in the villages of the region. They have stated that this is for the first time that they are faced with such a problem as they have never seen their animals suffering from such a disease before. The officials are trying to identify the cause of death of these animals. It is being assumed that extreme cold might have caused pneumonia in the animals.
