Looking at the first graph it is hard to know how many cases on May 26 were a backlog from the Memorial Day holiday, rather than an increase in the infection rate.

As noted elsewhere on FT, the number of confirmed cases, especially in the USA, in not a relevant indicator of the number of H1N1 infections. Assuming that the number of world-wide H1N1 associated deaths are not severely under reported, then the CFR posted on this web page represent an upper limit of the CFR at this time. The actual CFR could be several orders of magnitude lower.

I agree Laidback Al.
I just found it interesting that a public health official document from a state government would put those figures down like that. Rather begs the question, why did they do it?
