Coronavirus: Florida reports 5,558 new COVID-19 cases, highest single day since early September

ORLANDO, Fla. —
Florida reported its highest single day COVID-19 case spike since the beginning of September.
The Florida Department of Health reported an additional 5,557 cases of the coronavirus bringing the statewide total to 768,091 cases.
The state also reported 57 new Florida-resident virus fatalities on Thursday. The state now has a total of 16,267 coronavirus-related deaths of Florida residents.
