Coronavirus: Florida reports nearly 7,000 new COVID-19 cases Friday

Florida reported an additional 6,933 coronavirus cases on Friday, bringing the statewide case count to 870,552.

It's the highest single-day case increase since the state reported 7,569 new cases on Sept. 1.

The state also reported another 73 resident deaths, bringing the number of Floridians who have died after contracting COVID-19 to 17,372.
