The number of people reported to be currently hospitalized with COVID-19 has decreased on 13 days in January, and has increased on 6. Hospitalization reporting has been more resilient to holiday reporting disruptions than other COVID-19 metrics.

The holiday weekend affected today’s data, with some states not reporting at all and the reporting from others showing the effects of the disruption to the data pipeline.
