As of 5 p.m. Monday, Strong Memorial and Golisano Children?s hospitals will limit visitors until further notice to help protect patients from the flu.

Children younger than 14 are not allowed to visit in the ob/gyn unit at Strong or in the children?s hospital.

Visitors to each unit are limited to two per patient. If either visitor is not vaccinated against the flu, they will be required to wear a surgical mask.

The restrictions are expected to take place Tuesday at Highland Hospital, said Ann Marie Pettis, director of infection for the University of Rochester Medical Center.
