الأمم المتحدة تطالب مصر بحماية الشخصيات "السيادية" من أنفلونزا الخنازير

علم اليوم السابع أن المكتب الإقليمى لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة طالب الحكومة المصرية بضرورة وضع خطة فورية لحماية الشخصيات "الحساسة والسيادية" الموجودة فى القاهرة من تفشى وباء أنفلونزا الخنازير، وذلك بعد ظهور أول حالة وفاة لسيدة مصابة بالفيروس قادمة من العمرة.
وأفاد خبراء مجموعة الاستشارات الاستراتيجية، وهى مجموعة تعمل مع منظمة الصحة العالمية حول اللقاحات، أن كل الدول ستحتاج إلى لقاح ضد فيروس الأنفلونزا من النوع (أ)، مشيرين إلى أنه لا يمكن وقف انتشار الوباء بحسب ما ذكر الموقع الرسمى للمكتب الإقليمى للأمم المتحدة بالقاهرة، وذلك فى الوقت الذى بدأت وزارة الصحة المصرية الاستعانة بمجموعة من الخبراء البريطانيين والفرنسيين لمقاومة احتمالات تفشى الوباء.
وقالت مارى بول كينى مديرة قسم اللقاحات بالمنظمة "إن الخبراء أكدوا أنه لا يمكن وقف الوباء، لذا فإن كل الدول ستحتاج إلى اللقاح".
وأشار الخبراء إلى أن كل دولة لديها وضع مختلف من ناحية الوبائيات، لذا فإن كل دولة معنية باختيار القرار المناسب لوضعها.
وحددت مجموعة الخبراء ثلاث استراتيجيات للتحصين، الأولى هى الحد من انتشار المرض، وثانياً الحد من المرض والوفيات، والثالثة حماية العاملين فى النظام الصحي.
وأوصى الخبراء بتحصين كل العاملين فى القطاع الصحى، بالإضافة إلى بعض الفئات مثل الحوامل والأصحاء من البالغين أكثر من 50 عاماً والأطفال.
وكانت منظمة الصحة العالمية قد أعلنت أن انتشار الأنفلونزا وصل درجة الوباء العالمى، ورفعت مستوى التحذير إلى الدرجة السادسة، مما يعنى أن الفيروس ينتشر من شخص لآخر وخارج أمريكا الشمالية التى بدأ منها.
