According to data from the Centre for influenza and SARS DZ "Ukrainian Center for Disease Control and monitoring" from the beginning of the epidemic season (09.28.2015 - 02.14.2016 year) in Ukraine registered 3.8 million cases of influenza and SARS , ill with 9.6% of the population.
Of the total 61.0% of cases are children under 17 years. The highest incidence of influenza and SARS observed in the population of Kyiv and Kyiv region, where ill respectively 16.9% and 13.5% of the population. The lowest incidence is registered in the Transcarpathian (6.4%) and Kharkiv regions (4.0%).

Incidence in epidsezon 2015 - 2016 rr. By 46.1% more than in the same period last epidemic season.

Total in Ukraine since the beginning of the epidemic season in Ukraine were hospitalized with the diagnosis of "flu" and "acute respiratory viral infection" 161 thousand (4.3% of cases) , of them 64.9% are children under 17 years.

Since the beginning of the epidemic season of operative data recorded 292 laboratory-confirmed deaths from influenza , including 4 children under 17 years (in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava oblasts) and 2 pregnant women (in Zaporizhzhya and Kirovograd regions). The largest number of deaths in the Odessa region - 40 cases in Kiev - 34, Cherkasy - 20, Donetsk - 19, Lviv - 18.

For medical advice promptly addressed only a third of the dead. The analysis of deaths showed that all the dead had no vaccinations against influenza.

At 06 weeks of 2016 in three areas of the incidence of influenza and SARS exceeded epidemic thresholds (Volyn - by 34.5%, Transcarpathian - 1.9 times, Nikolaev - 6.3%). In other regions epidemic thresholds range from 0.3% to -64.0% Khmelnitsky in Kharkiv regions.
