Meningitis warning to pilgrims off to Hajj

CUMBRIAN Muslims preparing to make a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia are being urged to get immunised against meningitis before they travel.
The Meningitis Trust is warning people preparing for their Hajj pilgrimage next month to ensure they are protected against strains of meningitis that are not common in the UK.
The trust is reminding all pilgrims from the UK to have the ACWY vaccine at least two weeks before they travel, as it is a legal requirement for entry into Saudi Arabia.
