RIVERSIDE ? A University of California, Riverside student recently diagnosed with tuberculosis was in isolation Wednesday, with campus officials offering TB screenings for anyone concerned about exposure to the respiratory disease.

The recently confirmed diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) in a student prompted officials at UC Riverside to release a campus-wide notice and offer free TB tests to students. According to an email sent out to the UC Riverside community by Vice Chancellor James Sandoval, the student with TB was removed from the general campus population.
