Trivalent vaccine demand grows, according to Health Ministry

The demand for vaccine-trivalent against strains of influenza, has grown in recent weeks said Monday, Carlos Torres, director of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI).
"We have reports of various health posts, and there is greater demand," Torres said Cardinal radio. He added that the health portfolio is expected to repeat the demand levels in order to achieve the goals set for this end of the month, at which time the campaign ends.
It also urged the population to be vaccinated in order to begin the month of June, one of the coldest months of the year and increased incidence of respiratory, smooth and protected.
So far 30% of the vulnerable population and were immunized against influenza A H1N1, according to statements by the physician. Dr. Torres explained that the vaccine against influenza A H1N1 has between 10 to 15 days to acquire adequate levels of protection.
